OLYMPUS has incorporated a number of unique features into the EndoCapsule system in order to enhance the diagnostic efficacy of capsule endoscopy.

Visible Clinical Performance:
The unique “Real Time Viewer” offers an instantaneous view of the capsule examination.

Time Saving:
The high-end Workstation and advanced software minimise examination review time.

Ease of Use:
The Recorder Unit displays patient data and a variety of instructional messages. The Recorder Unit Harness is lightweight to maximum patient comfort and the EndoCapsule application software has been developed to be intuitive and user-friendly.

Imaging Technology - Owing to the sophisticated CCD, white LED illumination and Olympus lens technology, a clear and bright field of view is achieved for the observation of a variety of small bowel abnormalities.

Recorder Unit – The recorder has been specifically designed to be lightweight and compact to ensure maximum patient comfort.  The on-board image display panel offers a number of unique features to increase ‘ease of use’ for both physicians and nurses.

Real Time Viewer – A compact colour LCD display allows physicians to monitor the live images transmitted by the capsule.  As the performance and location of the capsule can be monitored during the examination, this significantly reduces examination failures.

Dedicated Diagnostic Software – A dedicated EndoCapsule software package is provided for efficient reviewing of the captured images.  This sophisticated but user-friendly software offers a number of time-saving features for quick and simple diagnosis.
